Subject: Judo Alberta 2026 CWG Summer Program Funding Date: October 10, 2025

Judo Alberta is excited to announce the Canada Winter Games Funding Program for the Summer of 2026. The Canada Winter Games is coming quickly and the summer of 2026 needs to be used to level up. The trails for the 2027 Alberta Canada Winter Games will be in September 2026.

Judo Alberta recommends that clubs have a budget to help with the funding of your Canada Winter Games athletes for the summer of 2026.

Judo Alberta can make modifications to the CWG Summer Programs as details/information/final costs are finalized. (We do not have all of the information/technical packages/flight cost/etc, for the summer of 2026 at this time. )

IMPORTANT NOTE: If you have athletes born in the 2009 to 2012, they need to have start to compete at Judo Canada Events. Judo Alberta will ONLY be looking at the advanced divisions results for the Summer Funding criteria and the 2027 Canada Winter Games Selection Criteria. Athletes need to compete and score points against athletes that they will compete against at the 2027 CWG. (Novice / Intermediate U16/U18 results / divisions will not be considered)
