January 2026 Kata Camp – Registration Now Open

Purpose: This Event is open to all kata enthusiasts of any age or rank including practitioners and judges. The purpose is to provide a kata clinic learning experience and a competition experience in a more informal setting. Members from all Provinces are invited but especially southern Western provinces.

When: January 17 & 18, 2026

Where: i. Saturday at the Raymond Judo Club located at Victoria Sports Park 350E 100N, Raymond, Alberta T0K 2S0
ii. Sunday at Lethbridge Kyodokan Judo Club located at 2775 – 28th Avenue South – Lethbridge, Alberta T1K 7L6

Clinicians: Gord Okamura, Scott Allan Registration

Schedule

Saturday, January 17 – Raymond Judo Club (Victoria Sports Park, 350E 100N, Raymond, AB)
• 9:00–12:30 – Nage no Kata Clinic (Sets 1–3)
• 12:00–1:00 – Optional: Nage no Kata Clinic sets 4 &5
• 12:00–2:00 – Lunch
• 2:00–5:00 – Kodokan Goshin Jutsu Clinic (weapons available) & Photo

Sunday, January 18 – Lethbridge Kyodokan Judo Club (2775 – 28 Avenue South, Lethbridge, AB)
• 9:00–9:30 – Kata Teams Warm-up / Judges Meeting
• 9:30–12:00 – Kata Demonstrations Start
• 12:00–1:00 – Lunch
• 1:00–3:00 – Katame no Kata Clinic (Optional; will start at the end of the Demonstrations)
