Once you have logged into the Locker, look for the calendar at the top of the page and find the course on this date.\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"><strong>Date<\/strong>: <\/span> <span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Oct 31-Nov1, 2026 (2-day course)<br \/>\n<\/span><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"><strong>Location<\/strong>:\u00a0 <\/span> <span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Tokugawa Judo Club, <\/span><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">9647 62 Avenue NW, <\/span><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Edmonton, AB T6E 0E1<br \/>\n<\/span><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"><strong>Time<\/strong>: <\/span> <span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Saturday 8:00am \u2013 6:00pm; Sunday 8:00am \u2013 4:30pm (sign up for both sessions)<br \/>\n<\/span><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"><strong>Cost<\/strong>: <\/span> <span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">$285 (course with evaluation*) OR $185 (w\/o evaluation \u2013 for those eligible to take the DI course soon).<br \/>\n<\/span><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"><strong>Registration<\/strong>: <\/span> <span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">All registrations must be completed in the Locker<br \/>\n<\/span><strong>Registration deadline<\/strong>: \u00a0 Oct 23, 2026<\/p>\n<p><i><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">*After spending 60 hr helping at the dojo, a candidate can request to be evaluated by a Coach Evaluator and, if successful, become a Certified Dojo Assistant.\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0<\/span><\/i><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">This Learning Experience prepares the participant to assist in the delivery of judo practices for judo players of all stages of development, with an emphasis on participants under 13 years old. It is recommended that the assistant work under the supervision of a certified Dojo Instructor. Assistants under the age of majority must work under the direct supervision of a certified Dojo Instructor.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Prerequisites for the DA course:\u00a0\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"1\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Minimum age of 16.<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"1\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Minimum rank of green belt with a working knowledge of the judo techniques included in the DA program as identified by the Judo Canada kyu syllabus.<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"1\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Sterling background check for all candidate coaches who are 18 years old and older via Sterling Agency \u2013 for details see:\u00a0<\/span><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/pages.sterlingbackcheck.ca\/landing-pages\/j\/judo-canada\/\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">https:\/\/pages.sterlingbackcheck.ca\/landing-pages\/j\/judo-canada\/<\/span><\/a><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"1\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">OR equivalent Police or RCMP background checks.
