  1. All candidates for Competitive and Technical stream must enter their application into the on-line system <\/span>https:\/\/judocanada.org\/grading\/<\/span><\/a> NO LATER than October 29, 2026.<\/span><\/li>\n
  2. Refer to the Judo Alberta website <\/span>https:\/\/judoalberta.com\/index.php\/grading-kata\/<\/span><\/a> for information about black belt grading and the National Grading Syllabus. Competitive stream candidates, for nidan or higher, will need to attend the required kata clinic prior to the December grading.<\/span> Consequently, these competitive stream candidates must inform me at <\/span>asattin@icloud.com <\/b>well in advance to ensure a clinic is scheduled.<\/span><\/li>\n
  3. Candidates should obtain their head instructor\u2019s approval before making the application. Both have a responsibility to ensure the information entered is accurate and verified. Do not claim for ineligible tournaments (competitive) or for partial years.<\/span><\/li>\n
  4. Shodan candidates have the responsibility of ensuring their ikkyu (brown belt) registration date agrees with the Judo Alberta registrar\u2019s records (as evidenced by the Judo Alberta Certificate of Promotion). Contact the Judo Alberta Registrar if any questions.<\/span><\/li>\n
  5. All candidates must have a Judo Canada passport and bring it to the grading. Failure to do so will result in the application being withheld. If you need to order a passport, then go to <\/span>https:\/\/judocanada.org\/judo-canada-passport\/<\/span><\/a> \u00a0<\/span><\/li>\n
