The course prepares the participant to be a club instructor and be responsible for providing judoka with the basic physical literacy skills with emphasis on children under the age of 14, judo skills as described in the Judo Canada syllabus, and to introduce young judoka to competition.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Prerequisites:<\/span><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"1\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Minimum age of 18.<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"1\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Minimum rank of brown belt with a working knowledge of the judo techniques included in the Judo Canada kyu syllabus.<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"1\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Trained DA or Trained Community Coach.<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"1\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Sterling background check for all candidate coaches who are 18\u00a0years old and older via Sterling Agency \u2013 for details see: <\/span><a href=\"https:\/\/www.sterlingtalentsolutions.ca\/landing-pages\/j\/judo-canada\/\"><i><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">https:\/\/www.sterlingtalentsolutions.ca\/landing-pages\/j\/judo-canada\/<\/span><\/i><\/a><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">;<\/span><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">OR equivalent if such checks are required by the Province\/Territory.
