{"id":7615,"date":"2024-09-25T15:57:00","date_gmt":"2024-09-25T15:57:00","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/judoalberta.com\/?p=7615"},"modified":"2024-10-19T19:34:59","modified_gmt":"2024-10-19T19:34:59","slug":"provincial-kata-committee-page-updates","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/judoalberta.com\/index.php\/provincial-kata-committee-page-updates\/","title":{"rendered":"Provincial Kata Committee Page &#038; Updates"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<p>We have created a Provincial Kata Committee. <a rel=\"noreferrer noopener\" aria-label=\"There is a dedicated page (opens in a new tab)\" href=\"https:\/\/judoalberta.com\/index.php\/kata\/\" target=\"_blank\">There is a dedicated page<\/a> for the committee where you can learn more about upcoming clinics, what is Kata, and resources on Kata. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<div class=\"wp-block-button aligncenter\"><a class=\"wp-block-button__link\" href=\"https:\/\/judoalberta.com\/index.php\/kata\/\">Kata Page<\/a><\/div>\n\n\n\n<p>We ask all club Sensei to identify any students who would make a good kata team by notifying Gord Okamura at&nbsp;<a rel=\"noreferrer noopener\" href=\"mailto:gyokamura@gmail.com\" target=\"_blank\">gyokamura@gmail.com<\/a>. The Kata Committee will support them by informing them of kata resources and of training opportunities and possible subsidy for travel to exposure tournaments. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Upcoming Kata Clinics<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Kata Tuesdays \u2013 Kodokan Goshin Jutsu<\/strong><br>The Provincial Kata Committee will be offering instructions in Kodokan Goshin Jutsu to anyone interested in this kata. This in-person session will also be broadcast and recorded on Google Meet (please mute):<br><a href=\"https:\/\/calendar.app.google\/LewVywJEyc1AFE9f7\">https:\/\/calendar.app.google\/LewVywJEyc1AFE9f7<\/a><\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\"><li><strong>When:<\/strong>&nbsp;Tuesdays on October 8, 15, 22, 29 starting at 6:00pm MST sharp and ending at 7:25pm. Each session will build on the previous one.<\/li><li><strong>Where:<\/strong>&nbsp;Tokugawa Dojo, 9647-62 Avenue, Edmonton<\/li><li><strong>Contents:&nbsp;<\/strong>Introductory level.
