{"id":6372,"date":"2021-07-21T19:23:30","date_gmt":"2021-07-21T19:23:30","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/judoalberta.com\/?p=6372"},"modified":"2021-07-21T19:23:31","modified_gmt":"2021-07-21T19:23:31","slug":"congratulations-judo-alberta-grading-candidates","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/judoalberta.com\/index.php\/congratulations-judo-alberta-grading-candidates\/","title":{"rendered":"Congratulations Judo Alberta Grading Candidates"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<p>On July 17<sup>th<\/sup>, Judo Alberta hosted the first Competitive Stream Dan Grading at the Lethbridge Judo Club.\u00a0 Gord Okamura and Garry Yamashita conducted the Nage-no-kata and Waza clinics, while Kelly Palmer and Wesley Enns led the Katame-no-kata and Kime-no-kata clinics.\u00a0 During the Waza clinic, all candidates were asked to demonstrate and give a brief explanation of how they execute their favourite techniques (both tachi-waza and ne-waza) and then everyone had the opportunity to practice the movements.\u00a0 A total of 29 participants took part in the kata clinics, including the Competitive Stream candidates. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The Judo Alberta Provincial Grading Board would like to\nannounce the following promotions and express our congratulations to all the candidates!&nbsp; <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>On July 18<sup>th<\/sup> Gord Okamura and Garry Yamashita\nalso conducted a Goshin Jutsu clinic for the general membership.&nbsp; <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Reminder:<\/strong> The next Technical Stream grading\nwill take place on September 25, 2021 at the Lethbridge Judo Club.&nbsp; All judoka wishing to be graded must have\napproval from their club sensei and get their online grading application\nsubmitted to Judo Canada by September 14, 2021.&nbsp;\nTo avoid any delays or disappointment, please ensure you meet the\ngrading requirements by reviewing the 2021 National Grading Syllabus posted on\nthe Judo Canada website.&nbsp;&nbsp;
