{"id":4119,"date":"2017-08-15T15:29:02","date_gmt":"2017-08-15T15:29:02","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/www.judoalberta.com\/?p=4119"},"modified":"2017-08-15T15:31:32","modified_gmt":"2017-08-15T15:31:32","slug":"sportif-2018-selection-standards","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/judoalberta.com\/index.php\/sportif-2018-selection-standards\/","title":{"rendered":"Sportif 2018 Selection Standards"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Judo Alberta will be taking a group of Canada Winter Games athletes to Sportif International 2018 for a competition and training tour.<\/p>\n<p>Approximate Dates: March 28, 2018 to April 04, 2018<\/p>\n<p>Maximum of 25 Alberta athletes will be selected for this training tour (funded \/ self-funded)<\/p>\n<h4>CWG Funded Athletes<\/h4>\n<p>(Funding Amount to be determined)<br \/>\nA ranking list will be developed from the following competitions.<\/p>\n<table border=\"1\">\n<tbody>\n<tr>\n<td style=\"width: 149px;\" rowspan=\"2\">2018 Elite National<\/p>\n<p>2017 QC Open<\/p>\n<p>2017 ONT Open<\/td>\n<td style=\"width: 48px;\">1<sup>st<\/sup><\/td>\n<td style=\"width: 47px;\">2<sup>nd<\/sup><\/td>\n<td style=\"width: 57px;\">3<sup>rd<\/sup><\/td>\n<td style=\"width: 47px;\">5<sup>th<\/sup><\/td>\n<td style=\"width: 38px;\">7<sup>th<\/sup><\/td>\n<\/tr>\n<tr>\n<td style=\"width: 48px;\">5pts<\/td>\n<td style=\"width: 47px;\">4pts<\/td>\n<td style=\"width: 57px;\">3pts<\/td>\n<td style=\"width: 47px;\">2pts<\/td>\n<td style=\"width: 38px;\">1pt<\/td>\n<\/tr>\n<\/tbody>\n<\/table>\n<p>\u2022 If you are the only athlete in your weight division, you receive 1 point<br \/>\n\u2022 Must win 1 fight to receive points if there are more than one person in the division<\/p>\n<h4>Minimum Training Standards 2017-2018 season<\/h4>\n<p>1 x National Training Camps<br \/>\n2 x Provincial Camps<br \/>\nBC Inter-Provincial Camp \u2013 Invermere, BC<\/p>\n<p>Judo Canada will also have a athletes from Lethbridge RTC attending this event and other RTCs in Canada.<\/p>\n<h4>Self-Funded Athletes:<\/h4>\n<p>U18 \/ U21 athletes from Alberta who are not selected for this event are invited to attend this event. Athletes attending this event should be a medallist previous National Championships or Quebec Opens or Ontario Opens or can be recommended by the Judo Alberta Coach Committee.<\/p>\n<h4>IMPORTANT:<\/h4>\n<p>Attending an international event should not replace any provincial or domestic developmental events. This is a great event for athletes who have been competing at the national level and are serious about training and performance.<\/p>\n<h4>Self-Funded Coaches:<\/h4>\n<p>Judo Alberta will accept self-funded club coaches.
