It has to be 10 cm at least from the knee.<br \/>\n&#8211;\tAt the sleeves level (During the control the arms must be straight and fists closed): the SOKUTEIKI must slip inside entirely and smoothly.<br \/>\n&#8211;\tJudogi sleeves must cover up the full arm including wrist in the control position of the judogi jacket (open arms).<br \/>\n&#8211;\tCrossing points of the jacket must be at more than 20 cm.<br \/>\n&#8211;\tThe distance between the 2 lapels of the jacket horizontally, needs to be of a minimum of 20 cm.<br \/>\n&#8211;\tThe distance between the sternum top and the lapel crossing point of the jacket vertically must be less than 10cm.<br \/>\n&#8211;\tThe distance between the bottom of the trousers and the exterior malleolus (ankle) must be less or equal to 5 cm.<br \/>\n&#8211;\tThe width must be between 10 and 15 cm at the knee level.<br \/>\n&#8211;\tThe thickness of the belt must be between 4 and 5 mm<br \/>\n&#8211;\tThe tips starting from the central knot must have a length between 20 and 30 cm.<br \/>\n&#8211;\tThe knot must be correctly and tightly made.<br \/>\n&#8211;\tThe belt must not be made of a stiff and\/or slipping material<br \/>\n&#8211;\tAdvertising is allowed only on the jacket as per IJF rules.<\/p>\n<h4>We will not put into effect for national tournaments the following rules :<\/h4>\n<p>&#8211;\tThe \u201cIJF Approved\u201d label on the jacket, the trousers and the belt.<br \/>\n&#8211;\tThe obligation to wear an IJF official supplier judogi.<br \/>\n&#8211;\tThe obligation to have a backnumber.<br \/>\n&#8211;\tThe width of the lapel side must be 4 cm (4 threads instead of 5).<br \/>\n&#8211;\tThe obligation to wear jacket and trousers of the same brand.<br \/>\n&#8211;\tIf an athlete does not respect the judogi rules, the coach who is responsible for the athlete would be suspended for the rest of the competition of the day.<\/p>\n<p>To learn more,<a href=\"https:\/\/judoalberta.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2015\/02\/Guide-de-controle-de-judogi-+-img_-ENG_20_10_-2014.pdf\" target=\"_blank\"> click here  <\/a> to view the IJF Guidance of Judogi Control Document.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Judo Canada will put into effect for national tournaments the following rules : JUDOGI SIZE : &#8211; The jacket has to cover completely the Buttocks.
