Judo Alberta serves the needs of its 1,100 members which consists of Judoka (athletes), instructors, coaches, officials, and supportive members.<\/p>\n<h3>Our Mission Statement<\/h3>\n<p>Our mission is to promote the principles and teachings of the sport of Kodokan judo to all levels in all parts of Alberta.<\/p>\n<h3>Our Goals<\/h3>\n<ul>\n<li>To promote Judo as a lifelong interest.<\/li>\n<li>To develop competitive opportunities throughout Alberta.<\/li>\n<li>To develop recreational opportunities throughout Alberta.<\/li>\n<li>To develop High Performance athletes.<\/li>\n<li>To have qualified facilities and equipment in place throughout Alberta.<\/li>\n<li>To achieve financial self-sufficiency.<\/li>\n<li>To increase the number of participants in the efficient administration of the sport.<\/li>\n<li>To increase the number of participants in the sport.<\/li>\n<li>To promote greater public awareness of the sport.<\/li>\n<li>To develop and maintain qualified Judo coaches throughout Alberta.<\/li>\n<li>To develop and maintain qualified Judo officials throughout Alberta.<\/li>\n<li>To raise the technical level of Judo in Alberta.<\/li>\n<li>To increase female participation in the sport.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<h3>Past Presidents<\/h3>\n<ul>\n<li>Yosh Katsuta \u2013 1952 \u2013 1957<\/li>\n<li>E.
